Bath reglazing ?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with bath reglazing? Its my understanding that I can get it done for somewhere between a couple of hundred and about $700. The bath in my unit is original art deco and quite nice considering its age although with time the surface of the bath has lost its sheen so its hard to get it looking sparkling and clean and I do wonder about the hygenicness of the poreus surface. I will get the whole bathroom reno'ed at some point but in the meantime Im looking at this option for a bit of a soruce up. So, just wondering if anyone had ever had this done and what they thought of it?

We had an old sink done years ago and it was pretty good until we dropped a few bottles and things into sink which cracked the glaze and you could see the colour (bright green) showing through crack...

If your bath is going to be same colour shouldn't be as much of a prob... It was about 5 yrs b4 it started cracking
