I can't believe how obsessed I am getting over these patterns.

Yesterday I went to Spotlight to check out their sale. I ended up buying two different lots of fabric, just because they have a damask pattern. I've already decided I using them for curtains in my bedroom and study.
After leaving Spotlight, I ventured up to Loot and ended up buying Black wall stickers (which I'm trying to decide where to put them) just because they have a damask pattern. I was so excited because they were less than $10.
After that, I went into a Choice store and bought a coffee cup because-you guessed it- it had a damask pattern.

Ever since I bought a Quilt cover with the Damask pattern on it and converted it to a curtain, I've become obsessed. I can't get enough.

Now, getting back to the wall stickers. Originally I had decided I was going to paint my ensuite vanity unit Black because I think White is a little clinical. Now that I have bought the wall stickers (which have 4 large stickers) I was thinking of putting them on the doors. As some of you may be aware, I have gone with the Burgundy, Black and White theme.

Any thoughts?

Lol- I understand your obsession. I had that phase too and still do to an extent. Our quilt covers have all been a white damask pattern for maybe a decade now. Plus some of my favourite placemats are a damask pattern.
Are the stickers paintable Traceyl?
What colour are the damask stickers? They sound lovely.

They are black Julie-Ann, which will be going on a white cupboard. I don't know if they are paintable, I don't think so. I actually bought them because they were black.

Sorry I have just seen that you mentioned they were black in the first place. Perfect that they were black- just what you were wanting:).
Will they cover the whole of the cabinet door front?

they will cover probably about 3 quarters of each door.

So would that leave an even space not covered all around the door? Or more at the top or bottom uncovered?

I would say that both sides would have even showing of white. The top would show more white because the sticker forms a peak. The bottom would show a bit less than the top but probably more than the sides.

What about painting the cabinets black- a similar gloss to the stickers. Then placing the stickers on top of the cabinet. I think it would look very subtle but stylish. A bit like the shade on my new lamp.

Unfortunately I don't think that will work. The cabinets were been laminated by the previous owners. This means that there is only 1 type of gloss black that will work on this surface. That black is the same shade as the stickers.

Which black is that- the special Laminate paint?

Yep, the one from White Knight

This thread on painting Laminate (http://www.decoratingforum.com.au/showthread.php/laminate-kitchen-doors-332.html?t=332&highlight=painting+doors) might be helpful.
If you use the White Knight and it is the same level of gloss I would think that the sticker will look like it is meant to be a textured feature.
But you could also use the ESP and oil paint in a different sheen.
