Thanks everyone, it seemed a bit strange handing over the last cheque and going through the final paperwork on my own but hubby had to go to work after having yesterday off for the inspection... someone has to pay for this house now! All went smoothly and I love the builders even more since they gave us a gorgeous big cream & gold bowl filled with Moet champagne, two glasses and tonnes of yummy (Lindt quality) chocolates - gotta love that!

The brick paving got started this morning, bamboo floors go down next week, phones get connected Monday, Foxtel the following Monday. As soon as we know when the bamboo people will be finished we will schedule the blinds and carpets and we're done...

Stephanie I hope yours comes through quickly for you. We were so lucky that the bank made it easy for us or we would have been waiting too :( have you got a thread about your house?

OK so here are a few photos that I took on Thursday after collecting the keys.

As mentioned in the 'Interior Paint Colours (http://www.decoratingforum.com.au/showthread.php/interior-paint-colours-933.html?p=9518&posted=1)' thread everything is painted in Solver Parchment, including the ceilings.

It looks really great KimG:). You can really see it in the kitchen photo. The ceiling in the colour looks especially good- nice and warm. Thanks for showing us.:)

Kim - I love, love, love the windows around your spa bath! Is that a private courtyard that the bath looks out onto?

Kim - I love, love, love the windows around your spa bath! Is that a private courtyard that the bath looks out onto?

It is not really a courtyard so there is no way that the windows will ever be left open while I use the spa but I do love the bright light that the windows provide to the bathroom and the bedroom. We were originally not too concerned about the windows on the front of the house and of course we always planned to put block out blinds there but negative comments from family and friends made us rethink, hence the decision to put the brushwood fence up. We will put some ferns and greenery behind the fence but it is not closed off from the front of the house.
