Hi everyone,

I'm AJ, a mid-twenties chick from Brisbane. I'm currently building my house as an owner builder, although I don't have quite the brain for the building side of things (set outs, how big things should be, etc) so I have my retired father working on that stuff. I, however, have a love of design and interior decorating and can't wait til there's a frame, roof and some walls so I can start to work some magic. I found this forum through Katrina's blog, A Very Fine House.

I hope to visit more regularly and get some more tips and tricks for the toolkit!

Owner building is hard work (and I admit has been very challenging while also working and studying fulltime), but I think I'll be very happy with the finished product once it's all done.

I started a blog but that has not been updated in some time. Once I get the chance to update it with some pics, I'll make sure I post a link.

I joined the forum 2 weeks ago after having a facebook converstion with Julie-Ann for some time.

I am a Traditional Feng Shui and Design Consultant. I have been in practice for 12+ years.

I love the world of design and colour and factor these things in to my practice all the time.

Some people say that Colour is not a part of Feng Shui but unfortunately or rather I should say fortunately they are seriously incorrect.

The physics of colour are fascinating and really important to understand when designing any space.

My current loves are LED lighting
My current hates are compact fluoro's

Hope to be able to contribute from time to time.

Welcome Vicki. Many of us here are fascinated with Feng Shui. So many of the concepts seem to be so practical to me. I am also not a fan of the fluoro lighting and my lighting shop keeps telling LED is the future - it certainly is lovely and bright.
When you have a chance maybe you could tell us about colour and Feng Shui:)
