I am attempting to start up a blog about my home, decorating and life in general. By day i work a corporate job, however decorating/renovating is my favourite thing.
Pls feel free to check out my blog - http://ourhomebythesea.blogspot.com

Hi Kel welcome to the Decorating Forum:clapping:. So glad you have introduced yourself. It's hard to find the time when you are working full time. I see on your blog you are renovating your bathroom. I can't wait to see the finished result.:)

Love the colour:love it::love it:. What is the paint colour called? It is very warm and welcoming. Looking forward to seeing it with the candles added:).
Oh good!!!! it goes a lot better with the mint green floor tiles than the baby blue ever did.
The paint colour is called 'oyster linen' (Dulux). I may get the shelf and candles up this week, should brighten it up. Thanks for checking it out :)

Hi Kel. Welcome to the forum. It's amazing how a different wall colour can change a room. I think it was a lovely choice Kel. Looking forward to more photos . :clapping:
Thank you Jess & Claire, it makes me smile when i enter the room now!
I have now completed the room by adding an anchor to the far wall just to give it a little something different!

The anchor is just perfect. It really finishes off the room Kel. Well done:thumbs up:. What's next?
:)
So far we have finished the open plan living room for now (i would like a new tv unit & buffet but not desperate & will have to be just perfect!) room is 8 x 8m so was a mission to get just right!! We have finished our bedroom, tv room is nearly done except for the right artwork. 2nd bedroom is a mess and will be for some time, 3rd bedroom left simple so basically done. Bathroom now done.
Next we will probably tackle the small (very) study to put in a room wide desk so we can both be in there at once! Then laundry & separate loo... maybe 2nd bathroom as well.
You really do an amazing job with this forum, i'm now addicted, i will have to ween off before work next week!!!!

Thanks Kel. Getting you addicted is all part of our wicked plan:D:D. We hope you still time to pop in when you go back to work. What sort of work do you do?
The study sounds like a good project. Will you custom build or look for something in a store, for the desk?
I work for a telecommunications company in a customer leadership role! I do enjoy my job, however i enjoy decorating/renovating more (you never know there may be a career change down the track haha!!!)
For the study i'm keen to custom make. The room is only 192cm wide and I really want to make the most of the space so we can both work side by side! My hubby is keen to take care of the desk... we'll see :)

Look forward to seeing what he comes up with for the desk:). That is a narrow space to work with but I am sure you can weave your magic again:thumbs up:. Don't forget to share with us as you renovate the space.

Great work..............huge improvement.................it is amazing how dated a 5 year old room can look when the wrong colour choices are made but glad you were brave enough to stick with the use of colour.....just the right colour this time..... Spot on...
Love the anchor...:)
