I just wanted to let anyone here you doesn't follow Fiona on Facebook know she had a little fall a couple of nights ago. She and the baby are fine - thank goodness:). She has a sore knee but that seems to be it.
The bad news is when she fell she dropped a drink on her computer. She is hoping it can be fixed or at least her photos can be saved. So at the moment she is pretty much offline. Just checking in every now and then with her phone.
At least she and the baby are fine. But do backup your computers. We lost some holiday photos a couple of years ago because we hadn't backed up since putting them on the computer. We now have an external hard drive that we back up to every couple of days. The hard drives start at $100+.

No problems I will be happy to:).
Our Asus was 6months old and the hard drive just died. They couldn't get anything of it. I even took it to an expert who said it would cost a fortune to retrieve anything, if anything of it.
I also back up the forum every 2nd day - I wouldn't want to lose any of your great ideas:D

Oh no, sorry to hear that but glad to hear Fiona and her baby are ok.
I back up to a network drive as well as over the internet. Most of my photos are also on flickr (I have a pro account which is very cheap at about $25/year) and I also use dropbox and zumodrive (am converting from dropbox to zumodrive) for do***ents and other files. Both dropbox and zumodrive have free accounts for up to 2G storage.

Glad to hear Fiona has not harmed herself or her bub after her fall.
After having no power on monday and having to go without the internet and the forum:D for 24 hours it was very frustrating, keeping fingers crossed it all gets sorted out for her very soon.

Hi ladies thanks for your thoughts. So unfortunately my computer wasn't covered under my insurance and don't think we can get it covered under our warranty. Hope to get something sorted out soon so we can get a computer on the house!

Hi Ladies! I hope you are all well and I just wanted to tell you that I missed you all terribly! I finally caved in and brought a netbook to get me by until my laptop is either fixed or we can afford to buy a new one. I spent the past 3 weeks without a computer and gosh I do rely on my computer alot. I did come to see how much time I can over use it too. It was like I thought about every question with "I wonder what google would say?" LOL
I have also come to appreciate how much I research things online because its just so much easier with the kids and hey lets be honest its FUN!
I can't wait to read through the forum and see whats been happening. I have got some serious shopping to do also for the nursery as alot of things I had chosen to buy were online and I wasn't able to do anything without the computer.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and hope to chat to you all soon. x

Reminds me of a few years ago when we did not back up our computer on a daily basis, our computer died. Lost 6 months work, then to top it all off, we had someone come and look at another problem, he then created another company file without letting us know, so therefore all new information was going to the new company file where it should have been going to the old. It was picked up when someone came in to pay their account, they had zero balance BUT we knew they owed a few thousand dollars. COMPUTERS. Now everything is backed up daily. :D

Welcome back Fiona, how are you and bubs? I am sure you are nearly caught up on everything:)
I have to tell you after the storms and not having internet/forum;)access for 24 hours it made me order a new phone with internet access and capabilities so I will always have access....(as I move my drink away from the laptop):D

Hi Elements, gosh I don't think Im halfway through cathing up on what got up to while I was away! you girls sure did find lots to talk about while I was gone!
LOL yes keep drinks far far away from the laptop.... It also helps not being a clumsy pregnant woman too I think because I almost fell over again last night in the laundry. There was a bit of water on the floor after the dryer being on but luckily I stayed upright. I told hubby and he said he was buy bubble wrap on the way home from work LOL.
Bubs and I are doing really wel Thank you for asking. Im currently 27weeks and 2 days pregnant and my little girl was born at 27weeks and 5 days 4 years ago so thats going to be a big milestone to meet in the next few days. We also know he was 922grams at 25+5weeks which is amazing considering Airlie was 861grams and got as small as 792grams in the NICU.
I have the net on my blackberry but my eyes strained so much I didn't use it that much as it kept giving me headaches. Im glad to have the little netbook now. Its actually my new best friend!!

Fiona I understand your DH wanting to wrap you in bubble wrap. Maybe you need to sit down all day. Walking around seems to be too dangerous for you:D. Take care.

Haha Julie-Ann yes I know im a cluts sometimes.
Well I did it! I beat the 27weeks 5 days milestone of my Daughters birth!!
Im now heading towards 29weeks (Saturday 24th)
Im going to have belly shots taken by an excellent photographer on the Saturday so its going to be a great way to celebrate.
Milena

Well done on reaching that milestone :)
I only made it to 31 weeks with my twins. Every day now is an added bonus.
The belly shots sound great and I wish I had had the opportunity.

Fiona you will get to the 29 weeks and beyond.
With my computer issues a few years ago, it was very annoying having a new company file created. I wasn't informed about it (stupid man didn't advise me )so naturally everything was going to the new file, it should have been on the old company file.

I hope so Lorraine. Every day he is in there now past 27weeks is a blessing cause we know how tough it is with a baby in a neonatal intensive care unit. Airlie spent 2 months there and we got her home 5 weeks before she was even due which was pretty remarkable.
Our computer is at the 'shop' at the moment being looked at so hopefully it can be fixed but these things take time so we just have to wait and see what the tech says.

Hi ladies I haven't been around too much and a few people from different sites got worried so I thought I would update you.
Both kids got sick last week and I ended up in hospital on Thursday to be monitored as the doctors were concerned that I was developing HELLP Syndrome. Luckily for us everything seems okay and we were allowed to come home thankgoodness! The thing with HELLP Syndrome is the only way to stop it is deliever the baby and the Mum and Baby are both at very dangerous risk so not to be messed around with. I didn't spend too much time on the net last week and when I wasn't around people started to worry so Im really sorry I gave you guys a scare.
I am now 33weeks pregnant!! I know still a ways to go but my gosh its amazing to be this pregnant after having Airlie at 27weeks. I have an ultrasound on Tuesday to check bubs weight as he had some growth issues at 25weeks he was on the 50th % and at 31weeks he had slipped back to 25% which isn't great. Depending on how the scan goes will depend on if he is born in the coming days or fingers crossed he is becoming a little FATTY and we can get to 37weeks!
Anyway just thought I would update you all here incase anyone was worried. I am on facebook and you can find me under julie-ann's friends (don't think she knows any other fiona's??)
Im all about education of both pre eclampsia and HELLP Syndrome so I have added a link below to share just what these two pregnancy induced complications are. It forced Airlie's birth at 27weeks and is effecting 10% of pregnancies in Australia. It is one of the leading reasons behind premature birth too. http://www.aapec.org.au/Pre-Eclampsia/index.php
Take care

Good luck for the scan fi!
I too know something about Pre Eclampsia (as you know fi lol) as I had it with my twins. Its more common in twin (and higher) pregnancies apparently.
How awesome your at 33 weeks! I was so happy when I got to 38 with Max!

Thanks Julie-Ann and tiktok. Im so excited to be 33wks. Feeling all these things that I had forgotten about with Mason over 9 years ago and didn't get the chance to feel them with Airlie.
Thats right you are at a higher risk of PE if you have a multiple pregnancy (most people are never told this though) there are a bunch of of ther things that put you in a higher risk group too. But then there are people who just get it and learn about it as they experience it or after it has happened. I just want people to know the signs so they know WHEN to go and see a doc.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow. x
