I'm enjoying browsing all your great ideas and thought I'd dip my toes in by asking whether anyone knows where I can get a vintage 'curly' rattan headboard for a queen bed in Sydney?

I'm sorry I have no idea where in Sydney you could source such a headboard, but wanted to welcome you to the Forum nonetheless.

Have you tried ebay?
