I just joined the forum and thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I'm Anna and I'm an online interior decorator in North Queensland and am also renovating my old Queenslander home at the moment.

I have a blog about my work, inspiration and home here http://mydesignethos.blogspot.com but thought the forum would be more fun to get specific opinions and ideas :)

Lovely to meet you all and can't wait to get involved!

Hi Anna,

I just checked out your blog and website. I'm in Townsville too. I'm going to pass on your website details to my sister in-law who has a new(ish) home but hasn't done any decorating yet, it's pretty much a blank canvas. Hopefully she'll be interested.

Hi anna :) they should name that house the tardus, from the outside it just looks like a small little house but then you go inside ... looks fantastic and huge!! love all the exposed beams and love how it has all been decorated and the colours. :love it: Although I did take one look at that cream carpet in the kids room and thought there is NO way I could have cream carpet in my boys rooms :o:D

I agree with you on the cream carpet. Although I'm not sure I'd even blame kids, I don't think I'm capable of keeping cream carpet clean either! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, and I will get around to creating a thread for my renovations if anyone wants to see (although its moving embarrassingly slowing since I work most weekends and am doing most of the work myself!).

And thanks nqmummy, it's lovely to meet (online) someone else from our little sunny city!

Hi there,

I am a stair lighting expert. We design stair lighting solutions for all sorts of clients. I am here to get some inspiration for future designs and concepts. Of course I will help the community out as much as possible along the way. :)

Hi Abbtecj it's lovely to meet you:). On a personal level are you renovating, building or decorating any rooms at the moment? I imagine working in the industry you have a passion for interiors.:)

Hi Julie-Ann,

I was reading some of the introductions and it looks like I introduced myself within Anna's thread by accident (sorry Anna). Is there a way to move this out into the correct space?

I love seeing creative spaces and working with creative people. My involvement is just in the stair lighting aspect though. People ask my opinion when safety, accent and automatic stair lighting is needed.
