I thought you might like to see these beautiful coffered ceilings that I did in a house. They were actually a solution to a major problem we were having with air conditioning ducts, lighting and the fireplace - trying to get everything symmetrical for the client. I thought it turned out quite well - even if it was a rather expensive solution (tens of thousands of dollars:eek:).
There are 9 in each room and the painter hand painted them.

Hi Julie-Ann
This looks beautiful and classy. What an amazing effect.
The painters arms must have been sore but that's what they get paid for:)

Julie-Ann, the ceiling looks stunning. Such a classy look for your client, I hope they are happy with it. I know I would be. Well worth the $$$$$ spent on it. Congratulations. xox :)

Thanks Lorraine & Milena
Yes the owners love it- thank goodness:D
I thought the painter was also going to get a sore neck. And the lines are so perfect - there are so straight. It was an impressive job to paint 18 squares so well.
The best part of the process was the teamwork between the air conditioning company, the electrician and I standing there trying to work out a solution. It meant they both had to do some extra work - so I bribed them with chocolate biscuits. It was such a challenge but great fun:D

Stunning JA! It must be wonderful to have your job, where you get to try different styles and try things that you might not be able to afford yourself.

It is great to try different styles. I love doing contemporary because I don't get to do that at home. It is very rare to get such a generous budget as this job. I was a lucky lady:D. It is a lot of fun spending other people's money.

No I don't think you are crazy- well not just because you don't like coffered ceilings:D:D
There are so many decorating styles available and some we like and some we don't. There a couple that just don't do it for me too:)

looks amazing ... I always find it so funny when ppl spend so much money in one area though .. and then let it down with those school photos on the mantle .. they should have some lovely family portraits done to match their new decor .. I can recommend someone in Perth if they are interested! :D

They are the most wonderful doting grandparents:D. They adore all their grandkids so much. I think they would like that idea of a portrait. Next time I see them, which will probably be in a few weeks, I will suggest it. If they are interested I will come back to you for a name. Thanks for the suggestion.
And don't worry the quality is right throughout the house. They actually have my all time favourite kitchen.
