View Full Version : New in Brisbane
Hi all :)
I'm from Brisbane. Married, with one cat, bought our home in 2007 with a view for purchasing another one soon.
We are currently renovating our ensuite and have been for a while, it's a slow process :) Nearly done though and I can't wait, it's going to look amazing.
I'm in the process of changing careers and looking at getting into interior decorating. I've always loved interiors and looking at colours and beautiful furniture. I was always redecorating my room when I was younger! I think I could really enjoy it.
Looking forward to talking with everyone!

Hi Tina welcome to the Decorating Forum. How wonderful that you are thinking of changing careers. If you need any advice on how to get started we are more than happy to help:).
Your ensuite sounds lovely. We would love to see progress photos.:) so I gather you don't have a free standing bath. But tell us all about your other selections.
Thank you Julie-Ann. I would love some help on how to get started. I have no idea whether some courses are more highly regarded than others. I assume I would need to do some work experience somewhere? I work full time so it will be part time study.
I really should start taking some photos. I was so excited at the beginning I completely forgot about taking before and after shots; it's our first renovating job after all.
It's a really weird shape ensuite - long in length. We've put in a spa (as much as I would have enjoyed that freestanding bath, it wouldn't fit anyway!) and we've gone with gorgeous dark grey tiles. We're gone with semi-recessed basins and a gorgeous dark speckled top for the vanity. Still some more to come.
