Hi my name is Linda and I am in the process of deciding which to use either laminated or vinyl covered doors in a villa which will be rented out. The kitchen man is pushing the vinyl covered doors but I want a real tough surface that can stand the knocks, which would you choose?

Hi LAPhillip welcome to the Decorating Forum:). We hope you have fun chatting with us here.
Both vinyl wrap and laminex are tough products. The main differences are vinyl wrap is a lot more expensive with most cabinet makers. But a good quality vinyl wrap usually looks more upmarket than laminex.
If you go with laminex for the doors I always choose the 3mm rounded edge profile - it's very contemporary. Or the Shaker profile for a traditional look. I also would avoid the gloss finishes as they may not be as durable as the matt (flint) finishes.
What are you thinking of using for the bench tops?
