Hi My Country Home welcome to the Decorating Forum:). It's lovely to meet you.
So you are moving from the city to the country? Wow that will be a lifestyle change. We have quite a few country members here. And plenty more that like the idea of the tranquility of the country.
Will you be wanting to decorate your new home more a traditional or modern country style?

Hi My Country Home,

Welcome! What an exciting time for you.

I love the country even though I'm a city girl.

I could list so many furniture and homewares websites full of country style furniture but I'd love to know more about what you're looking for. Are you planning to redecorate on a budget when you move?

If you have some time, take a look at the photos in my portfolio (www.nestdesigns.com.au/portfolio) - it's a sandstone farm house in the Hunter Valley (NSW) and the majority of it was done on a budget so it might give you some ideas!

You should also pop into a newsagent and purchase this months Country Style magazine (one of my favourites!) it's full of amazing ideas!

Oh thank you for the kind words LDH! Makes it all worthwhile.

The aqua lounge room is actually my boyfriend's apartment, it's been a slow process but it's coming along nicely and the finished product should be on the site within the next few months so I'll have to share it when it's up!

hi my country home,
welcome to the forum! I used to think I was a city girl, until I moved to the country just over two years ago (we live about 40 minutes north of Auckland), and I love it! We are on 5 acres, and it is so peaceful!! :clapping: The ladies on here are wonderful, and will help you with a lot of ideas... I just now have to take some of their ideas and put them into action (I am a little bit slack of late!) :D
