View Full Version : Hi, my first post. I'm in the middle of building a new home
Hi Everyone,
I'm building a new home with a major builder and we are up to the tiling and painting stage so it is getting very exciting!!! I will try and work out how to upload photos and let you see how it looks. Anyway, I'm enjoying reading everyone elses posts as I love decorating and can't wait for our house to be finished so we can get in there and make it really homey. Take care.

Hi Sed thanks for sharing your photos:kiss:. Your home is looking gorgeous. I love the colours and the tiles, and the use of the wood:love it:. Very stylish.
What are the paint colours called? I love how you have highlighted features of the house with the darker colour:thumbs up:.

Hi,
I have attached some more photos. We are building the windarra from metricon. I dont think it is an actual display home anymore. The paint colours we have used are bristol ashwood throughout which is an offwhite and bristol deerskin as a feature which is the brown.
We have enjoyed the building process but it has taken a long while to get to fitout stage, as the weather last year held us up for four months. We are expecting completion at the end of April.
1st photo of kitchen, 2nd one of shower recess in main ensuite, 3rd of entrance not finished being painted yet, 4th house behind fence and 5th main bathroom with view of powder room in background.
more photos of the house at various stages
1st photo kitchen, 2nd one sliding doors surrounding proposed alfresco, 3rd one main bathroom bench and cupboard, 4th view from kitchen to front door and 5h main ensuite.

Gorgeous Sed:thumbs up:. You must be so pleased with your selections. I guess April can't come soon enough. Then you will be in and the fun part of decorating begins:clapping:.
I love your bath- very nice. And your basins too. In the ensuite what is going on the wall in between the 2 mirrors- a light fitting?
So glad the building process has been a good experience for you. Metricon do seem to have a good reputation.:thumbs up:
Hi julie-ann, in the main ensuite there is going to be 2 mirrors and in the middle will be a shaving cabinet. Will post photos when it is finished.

I love those tiles in your Powder Room Sed:love it:. Are they from Crosby Tiles? It is all looking wonderful. I just wasn't sure what the white grill is on the front of the kitchen island:confused:.
The white grill is an air vent for the microwave which is under the bench. We r changing it to brown so it blends in more. The tiles arent crosby, I will find exactly what they are.
