I just wanted to wish you all a fantastic Australia Day. I love to travel but I do love coming home to Australia. We are so lucky to live in this country with our financial stability and freedoms.
I would love to hear what plans you have for the day.
Our day will be a little boring- ok very boring:(. Now that the webhost transfer is organised, it's time for the taxes. Feel free to distract me anytime:D

Lol good luck with settling them down.
I ended up escaping the taxes for a coffee with Chateau de Lille. Now I have an exciting choice between taxes and ironing:rolleyes:.

Hope everyone had a lovely day. We had immediate family over for a BBQ. It was nice and relaxing :)

Happy Australia Day all.
We went to the farm and had BBQ.
The boys had to collect about 300 hay bales from the property and bring them under cover. Hubby is exhausted.
The kids rode the motor bikes and I also took the youngest 2 boys on the back with me for a ride. Boy my legs are sore as I was on a little pee wee . Hubby also took them on the bigger dirt bike.
Happy and fun day for all :)

I didn't know you had a farm bubbles...now collecting hay bales sounds very Australian...
Me & boys played racing cars......read stories and sang songs.....whilst hubby worked at "Rome"......

It is my inlaws and we try and get down there on weekends it is in Yan Yean. They have some cows, sheep and chickens to feed down there. The kids were collecting frogs aswell .
It is nice to get away from the city. However new estates are creeping up that way:(.

Happy Australia Day everyone. We are definitely a lucky country and I love the way Australians are embracing our celebrations and saluting this wonderful country. I had coffee with 2 different amazing friends( one being our gorgeous Julie-Ann) and watched fireworks from my balcony!!

We all spent our day so differently. The important thing is we enjoyed it.
Well I enjoyed the coffee out but not the taxes, especially as I haveremembered all the stuff I forgot to include in the taxes. So that is now Friday's job:(.
I spent Australia day in Geelong sailing boats, actually I spent the week that way. I need a holiday to recover from my holiday! As is usually the case. Back to the reno now :) I painted big sample boards of "the chosen white" on the weekend just passed and hung them around the empty flat to be sure it was the right colour. So far so good, Im pretty convinced its going to work perfectly :) And the plantation shutters wont need to be painted if that colour works out which is a bonus :)

Sounds great LDH. Doing a large sample board is the best way to be sure about your paint colours:thumbs up:
