I can never get my windows streak free. Has anyone tried Methylated Spirits?I have heard that helps but how much do you use?

Yes have used metho! I used to work at Bakers Delight and as a standard thing we put metho (diluted) into spray bottles and did all window cabinets with paper towel. Works well!

But at home I am using the miracle cloth from enjo, and works a treat!

I use this brilliant little thing purchased at called Magic Window Cleaner from china by Estar - I can't locate any website on box though. It is so quick and easy.
Husband always used newspaper and elbow grease.
Having cleaned mirrors for 23 years as a hairdresser I rec one towel with a little boiling water then another dry towel and elbow grease.
However the Magic thingy kicks the hard work out the window so to speak

I have a wonderful way of cleaning windows.
Every spring a lovely young man called Rod comes and cleans them for me. Not only is it not strenuous, but the view is not bad and he is cheap:D. I pay only $65 for a single story 4br house.
My Dad did give me a product that you just hose on which I haven't used yet. But I will give it a go before our BBQ tomorrow and report back here.

Well Im a bit of a enjo addict, I have no chemicals whats ever. I have the enjo window cleaner its so fantastic you'll never turn back so easy to clean your windows and streak free. a glass sliding door 3 mins tops and streak free. Maybe you should get onto the enjo lady to do a demo invite some friends around for a cuppa and get blown away!

marciematthews@live.com shes my enjo consultant.

I like your method Julie-Ann! Unfortunately with three kids who put their grubby little fingers on our bi-fold doors all day, once a year isn't going to work for me. I usually use Windex and newspaper.

Julie-Ann, I'll be interested to know how you go with that product that you hose on. We have a very very long frame-less glass pool fence and although it looks fine from a far, when you get close it's so dirty from sunscreen and kids splashing. I'm thinking that 'hose-on' stuff would work well with that.

I love this topic Rubyfig- so handy.
So my DH has tried out the product- it is called Windex Outdoors and comes in a green bottle at supermarkets.
It cleaned the windows brilliantly but they were spotty.
However, a very quick wipe with some Windex & a towel, & the spots were gone. I would use it again because it was easier than when I normally clean with Windex. I do have to do the stacking doors frequently because the dog licks them:D. With dogs and children you can't win. And if ask Rod to clean the windows too often people might talk;).
If you find a link for that Magic thingy Ablancspace let us know. Or maybe we could have an online Enjo party and all buy jaz_ben's enjo cloth:D.
If anyone finds an even easier solution I would love to know it too.

I have just cleaned all my windows, and i use the rubber blade method, I just was the windows with eco friendly washing up liquid which gets rid of all the childrens greasy fingerprints and NOSE prints too, oh and the dog slobber - and swish swish swish, the windows are spotless, no smears or streaks. We are floor to ceiling windows on our first floor and when the sun sets - its nice to see it rather than the fingerprints.

I bought mine from Bunnings and a long handle too, so i dont even need a stool or step ladders, takes 5 minutes and only cost $8 or so.

I have also used the hose cleaner thing and although not perfect it is great in hard to reach places and we also have a holiday house with flyscreens that were screwed on. This stuff lets me clean these. My main window cleaning method in our actual home is Jacko who I get twice a year - unbelievable how quick they are and they always look great!
