New year, new carpets

Well, not quite, but we did get our carpets cleaned this morning.

They were absolutely trashed, after 12 months of small children spillage and disrespect!! There were parts that I honestly believed might have needed replacing, but they came up perfectly.

I am so pleased, and feel like the rooms have really been lifted by something that took less than an hour!!! :thumbs up: (Yep, pretty exciting life here!)

Wow you could have been like Lanne and done it your New Year fun......just kidding Lanne;)
I actually love when we sell houses and get the carpets cleaned, its at that point I wished I had of done it for us to live in not for someone else's benefit.
In saying that, now we have finished with all the sand outside we are thinking our carpets need cleaning. To get them looking new again.;)

I once worked for a carpet cleaning company in their office and got free cleaning every 3 months. I got addicted to having cleaned carpets. I have all the carpets and the sofas cleaned once a year. We use Chemdry Garden City and David is fabulous. I love how everything looks so fresh afterwards:clapping:.
How often do you clean your carpets and sofas?

Up until last year it was yearly for us but we then got two little Shih Tzu's who have a reflux problem and often throw up - on the carpet of course. I clean up immediately but as it is bodily fluids stains still happen (would think with technology someone could work out a solution to that one), now we steam clean at least six monthly.

The little darlings are in for a shock in the new house though, baby gates being installed so they only have access to timber floors, and no more sleeping on our bed! I can feel a few sleepless nights happening before we move.

I think that is the way to go Eli. Just implement controlled crying for the dogs and it shouldn't take too long for them to get used to it. Good luck:)
