Anyone out there spray painted furniture accessories to match items in your home. Lately out in the bogosphere I have been reading so much about repurposing things by giving them a spray paint..... Maybe bc the US is going through a financial crisis everyone is looking to be thrifty which is honestly a fresh change to all that consumerism that the US is big on..

Anyways as you all may know I am a thrifty chic shopper..due to by limited funds as my build is costing way over budget and have started to look at things in aost new way..

My shopping thread showed yesterdays lamp base pick up

I have since primed the wood base and am going to spray paint the top coat...also on the look out for a shade....

Looking forward to seeing how you finish it Rosie, I have only gone as far as spray painting some branches for Chrissie, but I keep getting drawn to all this spray painting people are doing also.;)

We are old hands on spray painting. You sound like you are on the right track -prepare the surface, sand and clean, then prime the object. Spray painting will give you a smoother finish. Some tips - do in a well ventilated area, use a large drop sheet, do in an area away from anything you don't want sprayed. And several thin layers are better than using too much paint that drips:( Good luck
