Hello everyone

Hi everyone, I have just discovered this forum and so far am loving it. I enjoy all aspects of decorating ( much to my husband's annoyance !!) and looking through magazines and websites for ideas. We are currently looking at buying a home after having sold so hopefully will be using this forum for ideas and advise. Hope everyone has a lovely new year and that 2011 is special for all. :)

Hi Julie Ann- no we are buying a home that is only a few years years old. We were going to build , but after looking at this house we really loved it. It is very much a Hamptons style home which is what we wanted to build anyway. I am really looking forward to buying furniture etc once we move in. I think this forum will really be useful in helping me make up my mind as I can be a bit indecisive at times about what to buy, what colour, what style etc etc etc . I love the Hamptons look although not so much the beachy look but the neutral classic style of the hamptons.

So many of us here on the forum love the classic Hampton's style. I am currently redecorating my bedroom in that style. I don't mind the beach elements of the Hamptons look but my DH does. Which is why I have a couple of starfish ornaments that I have to give away:rolleyes::D

Thanks for the welcome everyone. We are due to exchange contracts on the house as soon as the solicitors are back from holidays. Will post photos as soon as it is all wrapped up !!! Looking forward to getting some ideas on how to decorate !!

Hi Clare, welcome to the forum. Perfect timing to find us, prepare your hubby, he no longer needs to go to every store to see all the decor and furniture because we will go along with you instead.:D We love lots of photos and ideas also.;)

ta rosie, but I do love doing it, although sometimes it takes me hours to find a decent house on the market!!! (not a great thing for us Aussies!)
