Everyone loves Before and After pictures. It's inspiring and gives us hope that if they can make something that bad look that good- so can I.

I thought we could share some of our favourite before and after pictures of rooms we have done.

This is a living area in a rental apartment we renovated:

Before

After

And this is a kitchen I renovated for a client:

Now it's your turn. Do you have any before and after photos?

You must have loads of before and after - show us your favourite so everyone can see your gorgeous house that you feature on your blog. Don't forget to include a link to your blog for everyone.

I thought you might like to see some pictures of a bathroom I renovated recently. Excuse the poor quality of the photos, I am a lousy photographer.

This was a big renovation as we:
Removed the wall separating the toilet.
Bricked in the window that was in the shower looking through to the bedroom (you wouldn't want your privacy with that window lol).
Added a door to the ensuite.
Removed the spa.
Moved the toilet to the other side of the room.
All this moving of the plumbing required enormous chunks of the concrete slab having to be cut out.

So the before pictures.

And now for the after pictures.

http://i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab86/jamhind/newtoilet.jpg The owners wanted to add a bidet seat on top of the toilet. Apparently it gives you a wash and blow dry. I declined the offer to test it:D.

Wow, what a great difference. I love the colours in this bathroom. My kind of style. Also great idea of 2 shower roses. We will be having the same on each side of the ensuite shower. I like the top cabinet on the side too.

Not sure if these pics are going to work - this is my first time posting on here... Thought you may like to see some before and after shots of our current house (bathroom) - full renovation done by my husband, and I do the design elements.
Cheers

I wanted to add also that we were on holidays in Thailand just after we purchased this house (hadnt been lived in for over 5 years) and we loved their bathrooms so much, that we adapted their indoor/outdoor style to Melbourne weather, added on a shower to the existing structure, (double shower) and created an indoor garden on the other side. On the floor, we did 4 big pavers, surrounded by pebbles to try and capture the feeling, and it worked out a treat!
Heres some pics.

I Think I have the pics worked out now - so here is our very first project (personal one) - the house was badly burnt out in a fire, so don't mind the before images!

Thanks Julie-Ann, it sure is nice (I love it at night, with just the small uplight in the garden on) - our bathtub is a deep Japanese one, and although I rarely have a bath due to water regulations, if I do it is amazing to soak in (right up to your neck!) Yay.... Sorry if I went crazy with the pics, I have been meaning to post now for ages, and just couldnt work it out!

I love the colours in your house. The floor tiles in your bathroom are similar I've chosen for our ensuite feature wall. I love those tiles and they have such a great texture. I love seeing before and after photos. Really gives me a lot of ideas :)

Thanks Milena! They are gorgeous tiles, I fell in love with them for their texture as well.
Note : Brand new bottles of Chanel (or expensve watches) do NOT stand a chance when dropped on the tiles - I have shed tears twice over this.... he he. Thanks again for your comments!

Hi Babyjo
Don't be sorry for posting all the pictures. We love admiring other people's homes. You have done an incredible job. I have done up some really horrible houses before but none that had been damaged by fire. And look what you have created- gorgeous. Thanks for sharing with all of us:D

Love befores & afters - we've done a few houses, but the photos are all over the shop .. a pity in a way as i'd like to look at them again myself :) Love that bathroom reno - Julie - were the owners getting on in years or someone had a disability? ( just looking at the railing neat the toilet )

ATM we're just starting again, and it's all rather piecemeal.

Well spotted hbfotographic:).
The clients were late 60's early 70's and the gentleman had arthritis already. So we designed the bathroom to suit someone in a wheelchair. A wheelchair can actually wheel right into the shower area. We also have a bench seat in the shower for sitting down on whilst showering.
Funny thing is 90% of my clients are over 60 years old - maybe they have the money to spend on renovations:confused:
