Our hallway is very bland and I would like some ideas on how to make it more like it has been decorated. The tv room and kitchen comes off to the right and a media room to the left, then there is a blank wall at the end, if you turn right just before the end it goes off to the bedrooms. So as you walk in you have wall space on the right and left and this blank wall at the end. I have put a rug down and a picture on the end wall but it just doesn't look finished. Any ideas.

That's a great link Katrina. I like the after photo. I enjoy a good before and after.
What about a place to plonk your keys or letters? A small table like the one in Katrina's link? Is your hallway big enough for it? Perhaps a table at the end of the hallway below the artwork?

Unless you really like the picture, I would suggest a large mirror on the wall at the end to make the hallway longer and it should be an interesting feature. I assume there is a light in the hallway so consider a modern candelabra type light. Below is an example of what I am thinking. Are you interested in painting the walls in the hallway? If so what colours schemes do you have in your house?

I agree with the mirror, it will really add light and depth to the hallway.
Sometimes choosing a shaped mirror is a good idea, there are a few companies around that do it. Check out the wallbrooch section of www.kanvas.com.au (http://www.kanvas.com.au)there are a range of brooches that come in mirror finishes.
This will give you a good idea of the effects you can get, their designer will even photoshop one into a picture of your hall way so you can see before you buy.

I love the link Katrina. It is a great website. I love the ideas so far. A nice table, a mirror, a stunning light fitting, and your artwork. On the table you could put a flower arrangement either silk or real. A lamp or candles also looks good.
