Just wondering if your families have any silly or funny traditions for the holidays that you want to share..

Of course we are all the most stylish people in Australia but at times we can all enjoy a bit of tack (am I speaking for myself?).

As a child we had a blow-up reindeer which we named "Robert McKenzie" he was our mascot for Christmas for years until alas he sprung a leak and went to reindeer heaven.

We now have a new one in our house which is a battery operated "hip hop" x-mas dog that flaps its ears and sings "Hip hop hooray....." (c.1983 Naughty by nature).

I will be bringing him out yearly if he lasts that long.

My friend also has a russ Santa Troll which is about 20yrs old....each day leading to christmas she places it in a different part of house which freaks her boys out...

Rofl Rosierose:D.
They are great traditions. I especially like the troll freaking out the boys.
Surprisingly neither of our families have a tacky Christmas tradition.
DH's family did have a very annoying tradition of celebrating New Years Day- yes not eve but day. So after a very late night we used to be expected to turn up for lunch the next day. I'm so glad that doesn't happen any longer.
