Do you like to have indoor plants and/or flowers in your home?
I have been to some very stylish homes that don't and yet I love to use them. Whether the plants are real or good quality fake plants I like to add the greenery. Now that I stop and think about it I have indoor plants or flowers in every room except Mr17's bedroom.
What about in your home? If you do have indoor plants - what type do you find survive the longest?

Hi LizzieM...I can inagine the dust with your reno!. Good idea to have the plants out.
I have a peace liliy and a lucky bamba in the loungeroom. I also have 4 avacdo seeds I am trying to grow. I stuck 3 toothpicks in them, and the are i a glass of water, kind of floating. 1 has a 2 inch root!. I did have a mago seed on the bench, I was going to look up google on how to do it but, some tidy person threw it out.Love having flowers inthe home. We have gorgeous rose out near the bins, but no one enjoys them there, or really only the person who puts out the rubbish enjoys them, and that neat person that threw my mago seed away. I might get a vase out tomorrow and put the roses in. Theye were transplanted front a southern facing brick wall, where they did well, now that are in a heat trap, and they LOVE that!

Rofl Cath:D. You should bring the roses inside for everyone to enjoy - including the neat freak in the family. You know it takes a ridiculous number of years for an avocado tree to fruit when grown from seed. You will have to stay put for years:D

Arghh!!! 7 years google says! I saw on telly you can get 1,000 avacados off one tree. I suppose when I get so old when it fruits, I can mash it up like baby food, because I will be so old I won't have any teeth!
Wow you have flowers in ever room Julie Ann?Except M17..( I was looking for the psp3 with the freedom curtains!) From your garden or shop..real or pretend? You know what? Most times when I walk past indoor plants at Dep.Stores, Mall, Solicitors Offices', I have to touch and smell the plant to see if they are real. Some plants even feel really real, even though they are silk. They do some beautiful silk plants these days. Would be good if you were selling and taking pics of your home and you didn't have fresh flowers available.
So, how long is the longest plants you have had inside? What's your favourite for inside?

Rofl- too funny:D:D
Mr17 has taken over half of the house. He has his own wing with his bedroom, bathroom and study. Then the game action happens in the front Lounge room.
This is our list of plants:
Meals - 2 large silk weeping fig trees and 1 small Peace Lily and silk lavender flowers in a pot on the table.
Family - Murraya leaves in a glass vase on the Singer, 1 Peace Lily, 1 silk green thing on side table, 1 silk Parlour palm in corner and flowers on the coffee table.
Hubby's Study - oops none there. Do you think he will want some added:D?
Hall - Silk flowers on table.
Front Lounge room - silk orchid near the fire and silk ivy on antique plant stand.
Laundry - some silk white bulbs on bench.
Our Bedroom - orchid on bedside table and silk roses on dressing table (these are to be changed soon).
Ensuite - orchid in vase on bench.
Mr 17's study - silk Parlour palm.
Mr17's bathroom - very silk real palm.
Geez I think I live in a nursery:D

I remember when we lived there, we had sweet peas, and I had them inside.and I couldn't work out why I had the most incredible hay fever..till I tok them outside. We have sweet peas here, with the softest scent, or maybe my smell senses along with sight and hearing are are slowly going....
DAvid's lasteset PS2 Game Black Ops? WHat's Mr17 latest game? David connects the PS2 to the internet and plays with folksall over the world. It's amazing what he can do with a cord outlets inlets and passwords...it's all beyond me!

I try to stay out of DH's office it is full of silly toy cars:D.
Mr17 had me buy 3 games (with his money of course) as he was finishing his last exam. I bought Fifa 2011, Football Manager and Black Ops. Yes he plays on the internet with people from everywhere including his friends a few suburbs away. It's very cool:thumbs up:

Yes but it is a very violent game which I'm not crazy about. I like Mr17 playing the soccer games then the only violence is his anger at the referees:D

I thiey'll grow out of it..and if it's what everyone else is playing, it makes it very hard to stop them/ They'll realise how much time they have wasted on such thing. Bringing the roses into the house today! We should get some more rain, but the farmers don't want any more because their crops need to get off the ground...

I don't like the violent games so much either, I am sure they will realise how much time they have wated on such things when they get older.& If it's the game everyone is playing, they have to haveit.

They dont grow out of it! My husband is 32 years old and went out 2 weeks ago as soon as black ops was released and has played it everyday since! Its such a time waster and I honestly do not see the joy in it, infact i have terrible thoughts about accidentally on purpose dropping some liquid to maybe blow the thing up!

It is a real time waster.I don't think I would be very tolerant if hubby played them too. You are a more patient woman than I Giggle_Smile.
