Not sure if I've mentioned it before, but the supplier we purchased our structural steel and steel frame from turned out to be very dodgy. They sent us a lot of unmerchantable materials as well. Also, a lot of materials were missing. As a result of all these problems our build was delayed by at least 7.5 months and has cost us over $12,000 in materials and over $10,000 in labour for having those defects fixed.

Now that the framing stage is (almost) complete, I've put my list of all the issues along with the photos, receipts etc together to attach at the back of my letter of demand (asking to be compensated for the additonal materials I've had to purchase in order to fix the defects, as well as the additional costs of labour in order to deal with the same).

My letter of demand is only around 200 words long, so if anyone is willing to read it and give me a hand I would greatly appreciate it :love it:

Hi Thisisme if you want to email it to me I will ask my DH to look at it. He is better at these sorts of things than me. Email to jah@dbj.com.au
If you have no luck dealing directly with the company I would suggest you contact the Builders Registration Board disputes area.
