We have an inspection at 1pm Sunday. I notice A-M talking on her blog about the little details when selling.
I have 3 long verandahs covered in cobwebs. Dh is refusing to deal with them or get someone in with a guerney. I am out with a broom trying to remove them. I have worked hard to get the inside looking good and the outside is letting us down. This is all too hard for a little old lady.:mad:

Oh so sorry to hear that you are doing it all on your own. And you are right the better presented your house is the higher the chance that it will sell quickly and for top dollar. I know the chap on Selling Houses Australia can seem overly negative but I think he is spot on with his suggestions.
I would suggest to know what really needs doing around the house, ask your real estate agent for an honest opinion. Or maybe someone whose opinion you would respect about these matters.
I would ask the real estate agent if they think doing certain things around the home will make a difference in price. The prospect of a higher price might motivate your husband.
Don't be afraid to ask friends for help. Good friends don't mind helping out for a couple of hours. Maybe do what dmplus3 was doing last weekend- host a BBQ after a painting/cleaning/what ever needs doing party.
I only wish we lived closer. I could bring my little high pressure cleaner and give the house a good wash down.
