Hi Guys

I have just joined the other day but have browsed the forum for quite a while.

We have built an architect designed home in melbourne...the process I loved but went through 18 months of a build that should have taken 10 months. The end product was definitely worth it and even 16 months down the track, I still cant believe this is our house.

I love everything to do with houses and have been like this since a young child. Over the years I have bought thousands of home magazines and my dream job would be to be an interior designer (dosent mean I would be any good though so I think I will keep my day job!)

I love all different styles of design ranging from cute little cottages in the country right through to inner city apartments. I have previously owned a period home and renovated but at the moment modern design is more my taste.

I have 3 boys, 16, 12 and 4 so you can see my life at the moment is very hectic and sometimes stressful. I also am Secretary of a men's cricket club where my boys play...how on earth did this happen I will never know. But still, I love decorating and have a blog that has been dormat for 3 months. Hopefully coming onto this forum will inspire me to get blogging again as I love it and how I actually found this forum previously.

I have followed A-M's blog since she started the build and I have been a reader of katrina and Stormy's blog for several months.
I am looking forward to being a contributing member and picking up some great ideas from very talented designers on this forum.

Last of all, if I had to describe my dream style or stylists it would have to be Sarah from 'Sarah's House' on pay TV. She is the perfect interior designer IMHO as her use of fabrics is just gorgeous.

Bye for now and looking forward to making many new friends

Mrs B:)

Hi Mrs B welcome to the forum hope you have fun with us here.:)
If this is Mrs B I am thinking of, I have known about your blog for quite some time now and your kitchen design and the colour was my inspiration 18 months ago and still is.
The colour of your kitchen cabinets is stunning and I I fell in love with it. I would love to have a similar colour in my new house.

Hello MrsB it is lovely to meet you and welcome to the Decorating Forum. Many of us here love Sarah Richardson's style too. She does do the most beautiful homes:love it:. Your life does sound very busy- I can't imagine how you managed to build with a little one.
I would love for you to pop a link to your blog here on this thread so others can enjoy it. I hope you have lots of fun chatting with us:)

Yes I love your kitchen MrsB especially the timber feature on the island and the granite (I have the same granite:thumbs up:). Thanks for posting the link here- it is lovely to have some more blog eye candy to checkout:).
Don't worry the signature link isn't possible so it's not that you are not doing something right:). We don't allow links in signatures to stop spammers from taking advantage of that. But when you become a Senior Member (after 50 posts) you are able to add the name of your blog to your signature. You will see members like Stormy have this in their signatures. The other option is to become a Professional Member- they pay a small fee to add links to their websites. I am sure you will be a Senior Member in no time:).
