Super Tape

For those of us who are challenged when we sit down to a sewing machine this product is fantastic. I had to hem 2.8mt of curtains on the weekend:(. Which for me is a drama- you see for some bizarre reason I can't seem to sew a straight and unpuckered line with a sewing machine. This Super Tape (http://www.thermowebonline.com/dyn_prodlist.php?k=86238) is available at Spotlight. You apply as you do double sided tape- with no ironing involved. The staff at Spotlight reassure me this tape is strong enough to hold up the hem of lined curtains - so far so good:thumbs up:.
I hope this might help you to avoid the sewing machine too.

I need to get into Spotlight and get myself some of that tape. My daughters curtains are too long and they've been like that for umm...3 years :o Can you throw it in the washing machine?

Nqmummy I just checked the packet and unfortunately no. It cost about $10 from memory so if you need to reapply it every year you wash the curtains, then it's not too expensive. Actually I even only used 1/2 a roll.
