Temporary Curtains

I need to put up something temporary on our windows when we move into our new house. I have been looking at curtains and blinds and everything is so expensive. I will have to wait at least 6 months to get what I want. Has anyone else had to do this and what did you use?

You could try IKEA (if there is one nearby)... They have incredibly cheap curtains which would do the job ...

Alternatively - find some fabric you like and simply make some or .. if you don't sew.. iron on hemming tape and the clip style hangers would work fine too. At a real stretch, flat bed sheets and the clip style hangers could work, as they are already hemmed and about 2.3 meters long.
