Hi Mixy, welcome to the forum:).
Face brick can be very cold and also make a room seem less light and bright. My first instinct was to cover it with material too. But can you drill holes in to the walls for the curtain brackets?

hi thanks, :)
yes i should be able to i can always fill the holes with bog later.
Now i just need to figureout how heavy the fabric should be whether or not to have a pattern or just a plain 1 colour ? the whole room is off white and my cot and chest of draws are dark stained timber one of the walls has a window that is as wide as the wall, that has a bull down blind (cream) im going to get some of those removable wall stickers to brighten it up a little but i really dont want any themes ben 10, cars (the movie) or ant thing like that hmmm any suggestions ?

You could just make curtains similar to the colour of the wall. That will make the room look bigger. Or a patterned fabric will add interest. How big is the room?
The other idea is to make or buy some large canvases and use as art. You could cover them with some colourful fabric. The benefit of them is they are usually very light. You may be able to stick them up on the wall using the 3M velcro removables stickers. So when you leave the rental place you won't leave any marks on the wall or holes to fill. Our member KimT and Ijustlovethatfabric both sell canvas art. They may be able to help you.
What do you have for the baby's bedlinen? That will help to work out what else to add.
There are so many fantastic companies selling decals that I think you will find something you like. Our members Giggle_smile and Decorheaven both sell gorgeous decals.

Fabric on canvas would be a great, non-permanent way to disguise the brick. Great ideas from Julie-Ann as usual :)

hi thanks for all the advice the canvas idea was great my partner and i made up 3 frames and are going to stick some sky blue material to them they will cover the hole brick wall the material i chose is slightly fuzzy so im going to cut out some shapes like clouds and a sun and other things like animals put velcro on the back and arrange them into a mural but when my son gets a bit older it will be like an activty wall so it will be atractive anf functional im very excited to se the end result

That sounds like such a good idea Mixy. When you finish it I would love to see a picture. Have fun creating the wall art:)
